film title- knock knock who's there?
For my short film i am going to a thriller. My thriller is going to be 1 minutes long which contains few character in my film. For my plot, there is going be twins that has the same group of friends, but one twin hates the other twin because everybody likes her more than her.
Due to this, one of the twins blames twin for her life and wants revenge, So the twin kills some of her friends one by one and when the light switch off one dies.
and misses with her twin head un till twin comes face to face with the suspect whilst badly injured.
location is going in (Charlton house) this is because it would be more interesting to watch and creates suspense on if the suspect going to found the person. it is going set in daylight/night time.Props use in my film is going be black mask to not reveal the person identity and make the audience think. Also, a plastic knife for safety but still looks real also fake blood to show that the innocent person is badly hurt. Characters that are involved in my short film is twins, twins friends.
(start sign that they all have)
Task 2
whilst doing my research i found out that the suitable ages is to watch horror/ thriller films is '[1]They may be ready for more than you think. Developmentally, teens can handle dramatic and psychological suspense, but kids under 16 still shouldn't see slasher horrors, especially those that feature kids in dire danger or that have lots of gore.' this mean that 16+ are full able to watch horror/ thriller if they want to its their choice. Where as, young teens might not handle it and can could affect their brain them because they might be naive. Another point i found out by researching is that girls enjoy watching horror/ thriller as much as boys referring to article ' Why Do Women Like Horror Movies? Dodai Stewart' this shows that girls might enjoy watching my film.
For '2AM`The Smiling Man' it was was filmed by Micheal Evans. As i was researching i found at that he as has '20,705' subscribes and by reading the comments i witness that that audiencelike the short. For example, one of the view commented 'i really like this film.I think what makes it effective is that there's nothing supernatual, no complicated backstory. We don't know what happen before or after.' Also when clicking on his profile that he has plenty of short horror film that he made,
Another film that i look at is horror which is called 'Lights Out' produce by which has 64,924 subscribes. As reading the comments i found out that was in the cinema and that people wanted to watch it some said 'What's terrifying is that it feeds the paranoia. These are the best types. Gives you chills for days.' Another view comment 'Well, that wasn't as horrifying as people described it to be.' By this shows that it was some good parts but some drawbacks as well/. When looking on his profile that he made recent short horror film before making 'Light Out'
There are types of production that need to make my 5 minute short film, here are the the following;
finance is very important when coming to produce my film. sources of finance involves having a investor that investor in my film whether it is investing in half of your film. also can sponsor your self or other company can sponsor you, to earn money and use that saving to go towards your film. there different types finance one of them is:

Another film that i research is Behind The Door - Who's There Film Challenge (2013) that was filmed by , which also has 392 subscribes which nit a lot. However when reading the comments i notice that the view like the film and was amazed how he use the spoon for the killer the also said that it was funny. For example, some viewers commented ' This was scary until it decided to be hilarious right at the
end. Excellent work. Really top notch. I look forward to more., this shows that the he really though hard and he done very well. As looking on his profile it had different topic not related to film but he only made one film to do with horror. Also he use some close ups which makes more interesting .

Kick starter
As I starting my film need to take in consideration that I need Kick starter on my webisode this means funding for my film. Kickstarter is projects that are brought to life through the direct support of others such as sponsors from other companies. This is works if the person you are pitching your project to the project creator if they like they will fund it. One of the advantages of this is that if falls they will be no charge.
Private finance
I also need Private finance for my film this means when funds that will get payed into the company that will go towards my short webisode instead of paying the funds to the government. This means that more money that I can use for my props and my location making more real.
Investors
Similarly to this I also need investors to invest into my films which means that companies or people can invest in my film give me money to make films successful also investors can help to promote the film and get it out there. By having investors that invest in my webisode then I will have them to help my webisode be successful and would not fail.
Budgeting requirements
Budgeting requirement involves equipment such as props for the characters, also transport due to fact how you going to get characters to the different set in my webisode. This involves how many people are allowed on set and need to plan out how long you need to edit the different shots for my webisode. This are all the requirements that need to budget for my webisode.
Schedules & deadlines
In film it is important to schedules and meet deadlines due to fact there are loads of scenes that I need to get through. In my filming I am going to schedule my time during on set so I know what time I need to stop filming and move to other location and have time for the studio. This will keep on track and making more organised this will keep meeting deadline and finish on time. By meeting deadline then companies and investor would trust me.
Availability of equipment and availability of personnel
In short film they bring their own equipment and their own props which cost about £800 to buy equipment but for my webisode I am going to use school equipment so less expensive added for my webisode. For availability of personnel I would use sheet that show my crew and cast what days they are supposed to be in which days.
Skills and experience
for my short film I must consider for my crew what skill and experience they have to take part in my webisode for instance skills and experience that is required or expect for my crew is good planning of an idea then braining storming so it makes more sense and people that is organised. Also in my webisode for my crew I expect to see some experience in the film industry.
In my short film I must budget the equipment such as cameras to film with, lights to show different lighting then reflectors helps to softer the lighting making the lighting to harsh, lenses to zoom in and out , tripods to help camera to be steady and stabilisers. This are all the equipment that I need for my webisode to make it high standers and high quality of work.

Good collection of work here - you have looked at 3x short films on youtube (include these in your research log)
You need to identify a target audience for them so you know who you are making this for - however you make a good and substantiated point about the psychological impact on young audiences
