I am good at working in a team and have good communication
and listening skills for example, for one of our assessment we were split up in
groups for our short film such as was a producer and my job was to find
location and make sure we sticking to the plan. Also I listen to my team mates
and listen to any ideas that occur in our team meeting. For my presentation I had
good communication skill and I was very confident, made eye contact and able to
engage with the audience as I got a destination in one of my task.
I am good at researching and have detail in my work. For example,
my research portfolio I research thoroughly in depth in my research about inspiration
and film which I got a merit in. I always do my best to put as much detailed in
my work as possible for my task as I got high grade. Also I am very hardworking
and always try to best to my abilities. for instance, I was try to get my work
to good standards and take on board feedback such as my first webisode it was
not a good and learn from the mistakes such as ‘Knock, Knock Who’s There?’ it
was much better the lighting was control and continuity flowed.
I am good at succinct- getting my message across for example
in my proposal I got message across easily and I do not talk about topic or
fact that is not relevant to the situation. By this I was successful in selling
my idea or film as you can tell in my presentation I was very enthusiastic about
my idea and I know what I was talking about.
I am well organised by keep to schedule on our shoot and
charging the battery beforehand and making sure the weather is suited for the
day we have to shoot. I also prepare contingency plan for example original plan
was to have our location in Charlton House it cost too much money and the film
office did not get back to us on time. So however we had another location that
was suitable for the team and can spend more time shooting and sure that
everything is up to standards.
As progress further into the course I find that I pick
plenty skills that person that will use in the film industry. For example,
framing, 180 rule, MES, lighting depth of field, flashbacks, flash forward to
creative non- linear sequences and also
learn about open narrative. For instance, I use some of this techniques and
skills in my 2 minute short film. Also one of the assessment I wrote essay on
the different techniques and skills directors use to make their film or series successful.
